1. Unlike many girls her age, Jeda has no fears regarding spiders. In fact, she feels that they may be misunderstood.

2. She is curious for more details about what happened to her mother, but in the pit of her gut, she has a feeling that she's better off not knowing.

3. When Ietrin asked her what she wanted for a wedding present, Jeda asked if she could have a puppy. He gave her a nightgown instead.

4. She found out about Ietrin's affair with Ellona after overhearing a conversation between Catherelle and Elhina. The affair itself doesn't bother her; more than anything else, she sees it as symptomatic of all their marriage's flaws.
