1. Renata is an excellent forger. She occasionally writes letters to various clergymen under the guise of their contemporaries, just for kicks.

2. In a similar vein, she's also a talented artist.

3. She did love Arkon, but she was betrothed to him from a young age and never did figure out whether she fell in love with him because of that or otherwise. She doesn't think it matters much, though.
