Neleine, born in 1153, is the younger sister of Ailede Dephwain. In the summer of 1166, she was kicked out of her house after revealing to her parents that she was pregnant, causing her father to suffer a fatal heart attack. She was taken in by Ailede and her husband, Falidor Wythleit, who have passed off her son Orrick as the twin of Ailede's son Senwick.

Senwick (1145-1136) was a brother of Ailede Dephwain, who died in an accident in 1163. His death was used by his sister as a means of telling her husband that she was, once again, pregnant with another man's child. Not much is known about Senwick, other than the fact that Falidor privately referred to him as his "bother-in-law".

Ailede, born in 1141, is the wife of Falidor Wythleit, steward to Lord Severin of Veldora. She is one of four surviving children of a pair of dysfunctional, bickering parents, and therefore aspired to free herself from the household as quickly as possible. At the age of fifteen, Ailede seduced a drunken Falidor, only to have her father catch them immediately after having sex and forcing them to marry. However, this did not initially work, as Falidor simply moved into her parents house with her.

Sensing Falidor's misery, his sister, Leonora, asked Lord Severin if he would give Falidor and Ailede their own house; he complied. Not long after Falidor and Ailede moved into their new place, Ailede discovered she was pregnant. Twins Fenrick and Riala were born in November of 1157.

Ailede has not slept with Falidor since the conception of the twins, but has indulged in affairs on the side. Most notably, a tryst with a local tradesman named Grayer Maesflein resulted in the birth of a daughter, Madelheina, in February of 1161, and an affair with the priest at Tetran, Father Septimus, gave way to a son, Lonel, born in October of 1163. In April of 1167, she gave birth to her son Senwick following an encounter with Duke Lonriad of Luperia during one of his visits. Her sister's son Orrick (also fathered by Lonriad within the same week) was then passed off as Senwick's twin.

She is a rather bitter, mean-spirited woman who seems only concerned for her own needs. She is distant with her children and treats her husband as a servant.
